LG Electronics is working on plans to launch 3D television sets in the Indian market.They are going to launch these next generation television sets in collaboration with Valuable Group.
Valuable Group operates around 1,700 cinemas in India.
These television sets would be installed in public locations like restaurants and bars where sporting events are broadcast for viewers.
They are planning to showcase some of the ongoing matches from the Indian Premier League in 3D.
LG said: “This partnership makes LG the first company to provide 3D televisions to an overseas media company, the key target market in the early stage of3D TV development. This arrangement will secure LG’s position in the 3D TV market in India.”
